Beginner to Advanced Viola and Violin | Beginner to Intermediate Fiddle (Hybrid Virtual + In-Studio Instructor)
Grace Easley brings warmth, artistry, and global inspiration to Coletrain Music Academy as our violin and viola instructor for beginners through advanced students. A classically trained violinist and violist, Grace began her musical journey at age six and later earned a degree in viola performance from Missouri State University, where she also developed a strong passion for violin improvisation.
As one half of the nationally touring folk duo Roma Ransom, Grace has performed on stages across the country and contributed music to creative campaigns for brands including Patagonia, Yeti, and Vice. Her musical voice is deeply rooted in tradition, while drawing from a wide range of global folk styles — offering students a rich and expansive foundation.
Grace is a dedicated, student-centered educator who emphasizes personalized instruction, creative exploration, and musical curiosity. She also teaches group violin classes for ages 7–12 at our annual Camp Coletrain music camp. With her approachable teaching style and deep performance experience, Grace is an inspiring guide for the next generation of string players.
Based in Colorado Springs, Grace offers a mix of virtual lessons and in-person instruction at our Salida and Buena Vista studios.
